    Hello to all!

    My first post since many months. This shot was taken on Aug 27th 2009 in Sherbrooke, Québec.

    Salut Yves:

    What an interesting and curious perspective/pose. I am having trouble finding the bird's second leg against the dark BG. I like the log at the bottom of the frame and lovely background colors. Wish for more space at the top.

    You may wish to share your equipment and settings with the viewers.

    Glad to see you back posting again. What a great choice with unique capture.

    Excellent pose for the theme!!
    Can you lighten up the leg and log a bit? It would really make it pop!

    Thanks for your comment Marina and congrats for your running up position in the Juried Light contest about forms in nature with your baby crane photo.

    The settings are :
    Canon EOS 50DSigma AF 800 mm F5.6 - 1/1600s f/9.0 iso800 + PL - EV -2/3 (did not want to burn the whites)

    I was so close to it that I had to rotate the lens in order to get the full wing. This is why the leg is in a 45 degree angle on the photo : the bird would not be able to stand up with such an angle... (and I decided not to correct it in PS) It was standing on just one leg when I took the shot.
