I've posted some variations of this scene before...but really enjoy this one...and hope you do too.

Captured at dawn one morning in the Golden Gate Highlands National Park in South Africa (bordering Lesotho in the Maluti mountains).

    Techs:
    Canon 7D with 10-22mm USM @ 10mm
    f16 @ ISO-100
    Blend of 3 exposures

I like that you chose to present this dark as I am sure this is how it looked. Good use of strong FG element (the rocks) which also act as a leading line.

More distant slopes left and right also lead into image imparting depth. Nicely composed.

    Hey Morkel,
I too like the dark look! You could also go lighter......and that's a nice luxury to have. All in all composed very nicely and the colors look VG too!

Nice comp Morkel, and I also like the dark look to it.
The Dof and sunset are really well done.
The FG rocks have a nice rich color to them, and really lead the eye into the frame.

Morkel - I agree with the others, the darkness works well and that sliver of sunrise looks great. Nicely seen and composed.

Nicely composed with a strong foreground, personally I would not go lighter, I think your original vision is the right one.
