    Default Common Puffin Portrait

This shot was taken at Machias Seal Island in last week of Jul from Blind.

Camera - Canon 1D MK III
    Lens - Canon 100-400mm @400mm f/13
    WB - Auto
    Mode - AV
    Flash - No

Almost full frame re sized for Web and in PP added slight Sharpening and corrected exposure. I think this one can take some more sharpening to it but posting to see what you all think of this one...

Nice profile and a good exposure. I wouldn't mind a bit more of head turn towards us. And I think the head would benefit from some slight additional sharpening. I might also lighten the iris a little.

Sachin, nice profile HA. good composition and I like the shades of blue....especially the lighter band at the top. Well done.

A very nice image - lovely blues in the sky and it is hard to go wrong with that bold combination of primary colours. I agree with Doug about the head angle - a little turn toward us would have been ideal. I'd consider a bit of burning on the top of the bill and head - they seem to need a little more black.

Hi Sachin, very nice exposure, comp and lovely bg.
Details are very nice and the model is, of course, fabulous. I hope to see one myself someday :)
I'd try to put a bit more life into that eye and a little bit of S/H on the head but that's about.
    Lovely work.

Excellent exposure on the Puffin, and I like how he stands out against the colour of the BG. Another vote for a slightly better HA, and experimenting with some selective sharpening may work.
