    Default Titian Sunset

    Attached Images Attached Images

    Canon 5D Mk II - f5, 1/640s, ISO 400. 24 - 105 lens. Made last night, August 6.

I created a vertical stacked pano to get in all the reflections so that's why it's pretty square. If it doesn't work for you I can post the single top image without the bottom section of clouds

Hi Judy, another wow sunset. Nicely handled technically and good idea regarding the vertical stacked pano. I'm wondering about the inclusion pf the cloud reflection and feel I'm not seeing enough of it. However, I'm not sure unless I saw more of it and then I could make a final decision. Sorry, I can't be more definitive but there are some images (not many) that I would have to look at it another way...
I did crop the cloud reflection out and it looks fine that way also...

    Judy,

Dave brought up some good points that I agree with here.

Judy you are a master sunset imager and I always enjoy your work. I scrolled to put the horizon on the bottom third horizontal and it looked great.

Thanks Dave, Robert and Jack. Here is the top image. The bottom image did have a little more of the reflection but I thought it looked better cropped like this. I only took off about 1/2".

Nice repost Judy! The sky certainly carries the image well...

Lovely light and sky Judy...for me the reflection is just not sharp enough in the OP (ie the water wasn't still enough) to warrant including so much of it. I wanted more cloud definition in the reflection...with reflection-images like this I like to have to guess which way is up, if you know what I mean

I like your repost as the water still has that glow but the sky becomes the star.

Thanks Jack, Dave and Morkel. Yes I think the repost image works better than the pano.

    Hey Judy,
Repost works well for me and that would have also been my recomendation. All the rest is fantastic! I'm off to Tanzania Thursday and will be out until the 29th or so.

When I first looked at your OP I liked the colors and the cloud formation but somehow thought it would work better for me w/o the reflection... scrolled down and saw your re-post. Bingo! Very beautiful sunset scene capture, Judy! Love it!

Judy - I like the repost the best, in the OP the clouds in the reflection keep pulling my eye to the bottom of the frame. You did a good job on the tones and colors, the balance between the sky and the water is excellent. Good job.

Judy - repost works really well for all the reasons mentioned above. I like the warm tones of this as well.
