    Hi Everyone,
I watched the swallows for quite sometime when I took this image. They were fighting the bluebirds for a nest box.
    The Swallows eventually won.
I used Topaz Detail, then opened the image in Photoshop to soften the background. Back into lightroom, with some clarity and vibrance adjustments.
    Enjoy,
    Comments Welcome and appreciated
    Thanks Janet

Janet, lovely detail and I like the de-saturated look a lot. A slight turn toward the camera would make the image stronger IMO. Since you didn't mention adding a texture to the bg, I would suggest running some noise reduction as I see quite a bit of noise there.

Hi Janet, another vote for the de-saturated look. Agree with Kerry on the background noise. Nice work!

Janet, I love the sketched look to this and the color tones are lovely. The background has a little noise as Kerry mentioned but it doesn't bother me too much. HA noted. I would consider evicting the small halo around the swallows head if it were mine. This is a great look and I could see a series of these sketches being very popular, especially as note cards.
