I thought this flower had some interesting shapes. It was a dull overcast morning with very low light, and I wanted to get a bit more sunny look. I used something called NIK's Sunshine, with reduced opacity, on top of Simplify. I accented some details with a hand brush.
I generally don't like to cut these flowers, but this 3/4 profile seemed interesting and different. Lots of light and color balancing to get effect I was after and then added a bit of canvass for more breathing room. Hope you like it.............

Jay, I love the artistic look to this. The flower seems to be emitting light from the center and the petals have a lovely flow to them. I like the chosen crop-it adds interest. Well done.

Jay, this is outstanding...I like the tight crop, I like the details you have coaxed out of the petals, and the fade-to-black of the lily pad beneath it lends to the composition. How did I miss this one? Must have been the heat/humidity yesterday . As always, enjoyed the shoot with you.

Jay, fantastic image! I love the light emanating from the center of the flower. Colors are over the top and the dark background sets them off nicely. Congrats!

Jay, I like using Nik Sunshine and it really works well with this image. The perfect amount of Simplify and a beautiful base image adds up to a gorgeous image
