Michael, I like the pose and high key look. I do think that the framing is great. A teeny bit of edge clean up before print maybe. My personal preference would be for a bit more room. Nice work and a great capture!!

Fantastic wing spread! Maybe a darker eye would bring a bit more attention to the face.

Nice almost illustrated look to this. I think Nancy's suggestion is a good one.

What's the trick you figured out?

Hi Michael, nice flight capture and processing. A bit more room was my first thought. Love the dynamic of the harrier turning, very nice action and colors.

    Paul, Denise, Nancy, Maureen, Kerry,

Greetings. Thanks much for the comments... this one needs a dash more work - I agree with suggestions from Denise & Nancy... The tight frame is mainly to meet the size limits for posting, and yeah, it's a bit tight ...

Maureen, the trick is outlined here: http://www.birdphotographers.net/for.../87356-Dunlins
I've always liked the edges with glowing edges in PS but not the strange artifacts... Topaz Clean cleans up the artifacts nicely. I was refining the trick while working on this shot. It appears it also helps with the high key...

Thanks all... I always learn a lot working something up for this forum.

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

Very nice work, Michael. I like the wing span. Good suggestions and nicely done.
