My Digital Art - "Nature Interpreted" - can now be view at http://www.luvntravlnphotography.com
"Nature Interpreted" - Photography begins with your mind and eyes, and ends with an image representing your vision and your reality of the captured scene; photography exceeds the camera sensor's limitations. Capturing and Processing landscapes and seascapes allows me to express my vision and reality of Nature.
I don't know how sophisticated you are looking to get and you may already know this but but you can do a simple folder structure just using iTunes.
For example, I have a folder on my computer called "Ipad_Photos" which contains subfolders like "Shorebirds", "Raptors", etc., which in turn contain the actual jpegs.
In iTunes, I go to the "Photos" tab, and select "Choose Folder" under "Sync Photos From".
I choose my "Ipad_Photos" folder and check "All folders" and my photos are downloaded to the iPad in separate folders.
When you go to "Photos" on the iPad, click on "Albums" and you will see the folders.
The only problem I see is that if you want the same image in 2 different folders, e.g. Shorebirds and Florida, you have to put 2 copies on the iPad.
iOS 5 will let you do it from within the Photo app on your iDevice. It should be released in September.
