    Here is an image from a local pond. I was taking images of another Green Heron when this guy flew in and landed right near me. The BG is the pond water.
    All C&Cs are welcome and appreciated.

    Sharp with excellent detail. Light looks a bit harsh.

    Good choice of aperture Jim, everything in perfect sharpness. Incredible detail around the eye and beak, and love the attentive pose. Sometimes we are just lucky when a subject just appears in our view finders.

    Nice portrait shot. I know you said the background was the pond water but to me it looks like there is a bunch of noise visible.
