What Tern are we looking at Arash?

Well done on the exposure - whites look great. Good wing position - up. Plenty of detail. The slight flight direction towards you just right to place the head in a pleasing position. Catchlight in the eye. Well done all-around.

Great wing position Arash, tack sharp, and the overall exposure is spot on. Well captured.

I'm thinking Forster's Tern Robert. Sharp with great eye contact and nice wing position. I think you could go a little brighter on the whites.

Really well done on this Forster's Tern shot, Arash. I love the detail and the wing position.
You also manage to get the catchlight on the the tern eye, which is usually hard to get.
I only wish there were more room around the bird but I understand that you chose this crop to show more detail...
Also, I find the diagonal pattern on the background a little distracting. Maybe a CW rotation would help here but
it would probably not represent what you saw.

I like it and agree that the whites are muted, but I think you intended to bring out the details and it works for that.
Very sharp, nice pose. I think in this case a bit less FG blur would have given the water in the foreground a bit more focus
and given it a bit more perspective and given a little more realism to the bird in flight.
Just a nitpick but someone has to do it!

    Thanks everyone for nice comments.
Dan this image doesn't really have a foreground since I was shooting at an angle. All the water is behind the bird (about 15-20ft)
