Another image from the famous Lammergeyer Hide at Giant's Castle in KwaZulu-Natal. The Jackal Buzzards (buteos) are attracted to the meat put out for the vultures, creating some spectacular opportunities for flight photography. The dark mountain background helps to create a dramatic atmosphere when shooting with side lighting in soft filtered light.

Outstanding pose, love the pantaloons and eye contact. The background colors go nicely with the bird. One winner for sure.

The pose together with the lighting makes the image for me. A beautiful bird for sure.
