Another image from the famous Lammergeyer Hide at Giant's Castle in KwaZulu-Natal. The Jackal Buzzards (buteos) are attracted to the meat put out for the vultures, creating some spectacular opportunities for flight photography. The dark mountain background helps to create a dramatic atmosphere when shooting with side lighting in soft filtered light.
