Kerry, Very nice BG colors and the effect on the bird is great. It has a kind of Southwest flair to it! I might try to move it to the left a little if it were mine. I think the texture adds a nice look.![]()
Kerry,
Really like your choice for the b/g colors, it makes the hawk (?) stand out nicely! The texture gives it a canvas print feel to it. Good job!
Interesting way the colours and details on the bird have turned out. I love the colour of the background and the texture.
Hi Kerry, nicely processed. Love the textured background and the effect on the bird is cool!
Hi Kerry, Here's another love the background vote.......Very cool contrast between the bird effect and the BG. Excellent work.
Thanks everyone for your comments! The original sky was pure blue, so I added the clouds with a cloud brush in PS. If you search the Internet for "cloud brush" you will find lots of free ones and you can do pretty nice skies with them!

Well I am at a loss for words......please don't tell my wife...
The bird looks like its a mosaic, on a sunset sky, ceiling
Hey Kerry,
I'm going to go against the grain here......even though I love the bold colors and textures! I love the diagonal of the clouds and the color and texture of the BG......the bird mosaic seems a bit too overpowering on the whites and lighter areas for my tastes.......but as you can see.....I am in the minority.I love some of the blue tones in the body of the bird.....since blue and orange are contrasting colors.....perhaps a tone down in the brightness of the whites and a boost in the blues???....to better paly with the contrasting colors? As usual in OOTB......personal preference does play a big part. Just trying to give an alternate view.
