From last evening at our local town beach on Long Island's north shore. I am so at home there and almost always find something interesting to photograph.

You have to love gulls. Very nice with the crab in mouth!

What a coup, Grace. You have a gorgeous BG and the crab is a huge plus, as well as the way the gull is holding it in its bill.

Very cool capture. When I am at Nickerson I love watching these guys fishing/crabbing! Nice details in the gull and crab and perfect BG. It looks like the gulls head is wet so he must just grabbed this guy.

Hey Grace -- I love razor sharp images and you didn't let me down here. They eye on the gull is intense and the crab is jumping off my screen. Just a great shot overall!

I love the fact that the head and crab have no sand on them-another amazing capture. It is so sharp that I feel I could reach into the picture and grab the crab! You sure have a magic touch and eye when showing gulls and their prey.Comp and BG very nice as well. A beauty,

Grace, incredible sharp detail on the gull's head and the crab. You must have been pretty close for F/11 not to get the rest of the gull in the DOF range. If this were mine, I would have taken out the black spec in the eye. Great BG.

    Grace:

Sorry to be late to the party. Just getting caught up from my trip.

Your image is elegantly clean, sharp, well exposed, good DOF, nice shooting angle, prey is great.

    Another beauty.

    Cheers
