I always find it interesting the different takes you can find on compositions of the same subject! Dave Mills was on the workshop and took the horizontal view in his post below ....which I like but did not take! Mine was just about 1/2 hour later I think. As the morning progressed.....I fell in love with the sky and took a WA vert to capture as much of the sky drama as I could. A 3 image HDR with clean up in CS5 of unwanted stuff (like a tent behind the castle) and more! May have to try some more filters on the sky as I liked it so much!

Hey Roman, like the vertical comp. The sky is very cool. Love the red roof on the castle - it looks like a very, very cool place to shoot. Nice work!

Great shot Roman. Love the sky. Nice leading lines and great details. It looks like it might need a hair CW rotation. although the road looks good. Maybe WA lens effects.

The sky is awesome and I really like this composition. Hey Jay, I actually think the building is crooked..I am sure K-man used a bubble level but I see what you talking about.

Thanks all! Nick is correct.....I did use the bubble level.....but the eyes close up aren't what they used to be! Looks to me now..... that it does!

    Hey Roman,
The vertical wide angle comp is great. Sky is over the top. I like how the lower darker diagonal part of the sky and the road in the foreground kind of make a V framing the castle nicely. Hope that makes sense. I shot it both vert and horz only I did not go that far back. Good exposures, good detail throughout and the HDR processing is very well done!

Hi Roman, The sky is the star of the image along with a well framed composition. The ominous look of the sky portends a storm rising and sets a foreboding mood.(hows that sentence?)
Agree on the slight CW rotation but a very compelling image...good one!

These fantastic HDR images of this castle that have been posted have forced me to re-think my bias against man-made objects as interesting subjects. Ow...that hurts my brain. But thank you for opening my eyes just a bit!

Wow. The sky is amazing, foreboding. This scene holds a lot of secrets. Wonderful stuff, Roman

This kind of reminds me of pictures I've seen of the UK countryside (only been to London and not the countryside). Nicely composed and HDR works well with subject.
