Hi Jeff, looks like a starling to me. I like the juxtaposition of the wild and the civilization. Didn't you do a series on birds in the city a while back? Birds in the lot, or something? I like this idea and am constantly amazed at the variety of birds I see in urban environments. I like the calling pose of this one against the office building with the reflection of the blue sky. Very nice.

Really interesting shot, the bird silhouette against the pattern of the building has a graphic feel to it. Nicely done.
Kerry,
You are correct, I did a series on birds in the city and am currently working some of Nashville's downtown streets. Basically street photography, having been inspired by Jay Maisel. I like the interface of birds with hand of man elements and want to expand from time to time from my traditional grounds. I plan to post more street photography and hope to continue developing my understanding of nature, birds and cities.
Jeff, I think that's great! I have some street stuff too that I have posted in F&F from time to time. I look forward to seeing your images!

I like that the bird is caught in the middle of opening its beak. The feeling motion makes the silhouette a little different instead of a simple, motionless, sitting pose.
Hey Bro! The wire almost pops out of the page! Another great pic!
