Before venturing into Fonthill I was able to spend time outside putting together some compositions. I did this as a 4 image HDR due to the sky having some detail but being on the light side. I could have used a GND but forgot to bring them. I liked some of the colors a bit on the bright side and decided to leave them that way.
Hey Dave,
I like this wide comp and how you made use of the burnt up yellow grasses in the front as well as on the side diagonally as leading lines. I like the green color in the trees and that they are not grunged up, easy to do in a landscape HDR. The greens in the foliage can get a bit crazing color wise in the tone mapping stage and you handled those well. Nice detail in the sky and I like where you placed the castle in the frame. Nice work! I guess you got extra practice while in France photographing so many churches and castles.
Hey Dave,
We had some sky that day and you did a great job composing this! All the lines lead very well to the castle and it is placed in a perfect spot! Colors may be over the top for some.....but not for me! Very nicely done!
