    Interesting image I like the bg and perch very much Would work better with the bug facing you Light is a little hard but you did manage a good exposure btw might try looking into diffusers I use some set up on a tripod !!!

    The rear view works for me as we get to see the wing structure. What I would suggest is bringing down the highlights on the perch. In PS the Shadow/Highlight control with the Shadow adjustments zeroed out and increase amount on the Highlights though not too much as you don't want it to get muddy looking.
