Was lucky enough to come across these 2 cubs, just after a short down fall of rain, they were sitting just outside their den snuggling together to keep warm.

A very fortunate sighting and a well composed image. The dried grasses with the rain drops make nicely different surroundings. Nicely done.

Thanks all, i agree Peter, but under the conditions i was dealing with i had to use flash, trying to make the best of a less than perfect situation

Agree with Peter, seeing cubs at this stage is always a great sighting. I think the SS has let you down a bit here Bredon, as the image isn't that sharp an is quite contrasty. Would like a bit more room top & bottom with less to the LHS IMHO.

I think the flash is a little kinder in this image, but agree again with Peter, I too am not a huge fan of flash and if used at all, should be kept to a minimal output ensuring the animals welfare, but that is a personal POV.

It looks as though you did well capturing this intimate moment considering the circumstances. It looks pretty sharp to me with nice details in the fur. I would like to see a tad more space above. High cuteness factor!

I agree with the others - nice clear view, huge cuteness factor but the flash in the eyes detracts.

Rare sighting and very cute Brendon! Not a huge fan of how the flash worked out on this shot (even though I don't mind using flash on wildlife now and again)...it's made everything so shiny (probably mostly because of the rain/wet look overall)...could this perhaps be toned down in PP?

Curious to know if you use an off-camera flash bracket? I've heard from others that this helps to avoid the "flashed eyes" look?

Off camera works better Morkel IMHO, but it packs a lot of additional weight..
