    Default Snow geese with Fractilius

I photographed these snow geese at Bomby Hook NWR last fall . I have struggled to shoot flocks of geese and am usually disappointed so I decided to play with Fractilius. I dropped the opacity of the layer some and painted back in some detail.I liked the sense of life the filter gave it.

I really like how the flock is wide in front and drifts back to the right corner. The fractalius gives it a great feeling of motion. All those layered shades of blue with the warm brown contrast of the reed bed make a beautiful background. I would consider cropping from the bottom to eliminate the bit of grass and garyish thing in the LLC.

Agree with the crop suggestions. Fractalius certainly makes the image sparkle. Well done.

Bob, I lie your exploration of the filter! Neat colors and glow. I think that Nancy makes a good suggestion. Alternately you could clone, patch or layer mask that area out if you wanted to retain the crop. I have to agree w/ Hilary's comment "Fractalius certainly makes the image sparkle".

    Hey Bob,
Another vote for the crop but also a good alternate suggestion above. I like the flow of the overall image with the fract giving it a cool look and glow!
