    I was photographing a small butterfly on one of the Black-eyed Susan plants sitting on my deck when I suddenly noticed this young katydid hiding out on one of the stems. Every time I turned the plant to get a better look at him he would instantly readjust himself to stay outside my field of view. After several minutes of this I decided why fight it? Anyone this shy must have good reason for their anonymity...

    What great camo. Normally giving up doesn't work out so well, I think it worked out OK this time.

    Maybe he has "cameraphobia." Nice image, Jules, even if the subject wouldn't show his face.
