Hey Brendon -- This image is captivating to say the least, just sublime. I'd like to hear more about how you made it. The eye and fur detail are top rate and the pink nose! Bokeh is beautiful as well and I love the way it changes from left to right. I can't speak to the possibility of a color cast on this one because I'm pretty color blind but everything looks just wonderful to me. Thanks!

Lovely IQ and details here Brendon...that BG is really on fire! Was this shot at dawn or dusk?
A fine example to show that proper use of the so-called 'unreliable' 100-400mm can produce stellar images

Hi Brendon... this is one of your best leopard portraits ever... the detail, the eye contact, that bg... make for a magnificent image... VVWD!

Brendon - outstanding detail and sharpness. Great head on stare and the eyes are captivating. I too love the fiery color of the bg. Curious as to how far away you were from the leopard and at what length along the 100-400 zoom this was shot at. Congrats!

    TFS,
    Rachel

Thanks all for your great comments. Morkel this was at dawn, really sweet light so just used a soft flash to fill in some shadows, the 100-400 still is a great lens and can produce some to quality images! Rachel this was at 400mm and is uncropped, we were fairly close

Nicely done! Love the color harmony and balance of flash and ambient.
