Just joking. This was a skimmer chick thinking about flight with a parent looking on. I was amazed at how long his wing was and I think he was too. I used Topaz Clean on this one.
Thanks for looking. Comments and suggestions appreciated.

Hi Cheryl, nice use of the topaz filter. I like the effect it had on the adult the best. I like the grasses in the background as it shows the environment they inhabit. I might be tempted to crop some off the left side. Nice filtering.

Cheryl, I love these birds. Nice wing stretch and the Clean filter looks good on the juvi. I wonder if you could get a bit more detail out of the darks and eye of the adult.

Cheryl, nice effect on the image, like the wing sticking out...If its possible I would have left all the adult bird....Well done

I envy those of you with access to skimmers. They are such cool birds! I would probably crop a bit off the top, to just below your name. For me this puts more emphasis on the youngster with his stretched wing.

    Hey Cheryl,
Great points above on some tweak suggestions. I do think The eye detail and top crop will make it work for me! Nice use of the filters!

Well, I think he's thinking about flying???? Cute. Love the image. I think a bit of contrast in the bird, just a slight bit, would make him stand out much more.

Beautiful composition, Cheryl. I like the inclusion of the grass in the bg. The partial crop of the adult is interesting and works for me with the focus more on juvi. Beautiful filter effect.
