Michael, this is cool. It looks like writing to me. I wish there was one less in the group just to the right of center - it looks like 4's a crowd

Hi Michael, this works well as a pano crop. Agree with Cheryl that it looks like writing.

Michael, I like the tight panoramic cropping on this one...I'd hate to be the flight controller for the incoming traffic! Great capture.

Michael, Nice flight shot for the theme. I like the random pattern and I agree w/ Cheryl regarding the one group but it is still lovely.

    Hey Michael,
It does look like writing! Cheryl brings up a valid point so may be worth tweaking that area. I also agree that the pano was a wise choice!

    Cheryl, Andrew, John, Denise, Roman,

Thanks much for your comments. Yeah, that one group in the middle. Hmm. Might try to clone the rearmost one.

This shot was taken on a glorious day at the Santa Barbara main beach. Windy conditions made for a little waterway that was protected so various groups of birds (including this skimmer group) would congregate. Didn't seem to mind this stranger wading in their midst ...

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

Michael, very nice composition. I too like the random patterns here.

I need to go down south for these skimmers. There are few in Palo Alto Baylands but way out to get any good images!

Yeah, I only recall seeing skimmers a couple of times up here. I don't think I've been at Bolsa Chica or Newport Back Bay without seeing skimmers. Sigh.

    Cheers,
