Photographed yesterday morning on the North Shore of Massachusetts.

This bird was preening on the beach and I was hoping for a side view of raised wings before takeoff but the bird had different ideas. Thought it might be a fun one for the new theme.

Looking forward to your comments and critiques!

Excellent symmetry Mike, with good feather detail. Good overall sharpness too.

Ha, what a cool, fun image. Love the symmetry, details, light and low angle. Well done as always Mike.
The graduated bg is wonderful and I love the shadow of the bird - neat.
If anything, I'd clone out the dark pebble (?) to the left of the bird.

Really great way of seeing, Mike. So different and unique. Of course, the head angle could have been better.
    I really love this image.
