Here's a captive Owl that we did a set up for at Fotofest Florida this past May. This was taken just as the sun came up over the horizon.

    Wow Alan,
It doesn't get any better than this. I love the mushrooms (?) that are cup shaped and love how the BG colors match the colors of the tree, moss and fungus. I like the comp and how the diagonal branch draws the eye in. 10 out of 10 on this one,
    Gail

The perch tree and turkey tails (???) are so beautiful that you could have done without the bird....

Probably the best BO photo I have ever seen. The environment and light put this one over the top.

As usual the IQ is amazing. The lighting and the tree are gorgeous.

The colors, details on tree, BG are all beyond ravishing. Fantastic comp. And then the BIRD! Amazing stuff. This is the gold standard right here!
Needs to be HUGE on some wall somewhere. One could get lost in this picture and stare at it for hours.
    Ok, I'll stop.

Completely spectacular!! Those lichen/mushroomy growths are the over-the-top detail for the image. Stunning bkgd, light and owl as well!
