    Default Winter On The Ausable

I just came across this image in my "in-progress" file. Not sure where in progress it actually was but it really jumped out at me. This was taken this past winter in Wilmington NY, in an area of the Ausable river known as the Flume (actaully just below the flume). ISO 100, f/22. SS 1.3s, not sure if a Vari-ND polarizer was used, and it was processed in NIK Silver Efex Pro. Opinions appreciated...

I like it, the water looks good and you have nice contrast with the B&W.
Looks cold and looks nice on summer day.

Hi Nick, nice compostion showing the water flow on a diagonal. Good detail in the snow and the water with just enough woods framing the upper area.
I might lighten the image a small amount since it seems just a bit dark...

    Hey Nick,
I agree the comp is very nice and I like how the water wraps around thee FG rock. Not familiar with Silver Efex......but I'm with Dave on the darkness. The whites on the water look muddy......so brightening them up should take this up a notch or 2.
