Those Bee Eaters have such incredible colors! Nice and sharp. The bird really pops against that green BG. Blacks could be opened up a bit. I might crop some off the top, and I'd tone down the end of the perch.
Hey Marc -- Bee eaters are just about the sweetest birds out there although I've never had the pleasure to photograph one. I love the turquoise around the rump and the crimson? wing color. Man, that D3 makes some beautiful bokeh. Great comments from Doug as usual. A real keeper.
Agree with Doug's suggestions.
Also agree with Saptagirish that it is very nice as is but a bit more of a head turn would have made it even better for my taste.
Good comments by the previous posters. Love the colours, perch, BG.
I don't know if that is a distant OOF tree or what, but there is a largish (but faint) greyish area that extends from top to bottom of the frame just in front of the subject...I'd see if I could minimize that...
Marc,
I just love this image. The colors are amazing. I didn't see what Daniel was referring to when I first looked at the image but I do see it now that it has been pointed out. Wish for a bit more head turn.I would take a sliver off the top.
Definitely a keeper!
