Taken at Wakodahatchee last week as the sun was beginning to go down. The light was golden and the ibis were in their breeding colors with the bright red beak and feet.

Nice capture Judy. Wonderful pose and feather details. Well done. Looking a bit dark...but probably just my eyes or monitor. These birds are cool. I have an island near my folks house that has both white and glossy ibis...by the hundreds. Quite a sight to see the whole flock take to the air at once when the hawks come around.
Beautiful light Judy. Shame the head isn't turned just a tad more toward you (but then I guess the poor ibis has to be looking where he's going and not posing for you.). :)
