    Default Mockingbird in the rain

    Went back over some of my images and I never submitted this one before. From an Alan Murphy workshop in Texas
    Nikon D3
    Lens: VR 500mm F/4G
    Focal Length: 500mm
    Aperture: F/5.6
    Shutter Speed: 1/500s
    Exposure Comp.: -0.7EV
    ISO Sensitivity: ISO 1600

    Hi Roy, good to see you. I love this image and can't think of anything I would change, except for the name in the LRC. I really appreciate the intelligence in this image, as you had to think about the shutter speed that would give you the rain streaks and be within the comfort zone of f/5.6 as far as DOF goes. Very nicely done!

    I agree with Kerry, very nice image overall, techs are spot on.

    I see a few dark spots to the right of the bird that I would remove .... could be out of focus rain drops or dust on the sensor.

    Roy - just love the moment,..this is sweet.

    Nice one, like the weather. Showing rain sometimes it works sometime it does not, in this picture it woks for me.

    Agree with Joel, might hit the dark spots -nice one - thanks for sharing.

    Roy...nice and sharp! .....great perch!......next time try some slower shutter speeds to capture the rain streaks even better!

    Kerry,thanks a lot. We had lots of practice with the rain.

    Joel, I thought I'd got them all, there's even one to the left of the bird that should be gone. Is it worthwhile to repost with the changes, or is it enough knowing that I will make the changes?
