Default Drying out in the morning sun

Here is a dew covered dragonfly i captured this morning while out walking the dogs

    Panasonic FZ100
    f4.0
    1/125 ss
    ISO 100

A bit of cropping and sharpening using the Panasonic Silkypix tool

Increased the black level a bit and lowered the gamma. Dropped exposure -0.20

    All comments criticisms welcome

    Hey Shane,
Finally figured it out myself and now the image is showing! Nice job on this with a surprisingly good depth of field at f4.....but it does appear the eye may need a bit more sharpening. Hopefull it wasn't due to DOF, so remeber to push the ISO a bit to see if you can get more DOF or even SS if the wind is strong. I do like the perch and light but the BG can use some fine tuning. I would tone down the brightest areas near the tail and the brownish stem near the face. If OK with such things...fillinf in the sky blue in the UL will be the finishing touch. Still a nice job on this and looking forward to more of your work!

Hello Shane, good points made by Roman. I like your composition and capture. Only comment I would add is that the bg could use some noise reduction. Looking forward to more...

Solid point made above. Need clean sharp eye and IQ issues with the one Shane IMO. Especially with ISO100 (which I do not use). Probably due to large crop and/or possible underexposure correction in post production. But there are lots of good things happening here as well. Color is nice, the composition is good and macro photography is a great way to discover and show the world. Please keep em coming.
