    This image was captured from my perch just outside my home. In all the years of photographing birds, this is my first decent bluejay image.

    Hand Held

    Model = Canon EOS-1D Mark IV
    Exposure Time = 1/1600"
    F Number = F7.1
    Exposure Program = Manual
    ISO Speed Ratings = 640
    Focal Length = 500mm

    I would say better than decent Chad. The perch is a little bright in places but the bird is perfect IMO. The blues look true and the white feathers on the wings are extremely easy to blow out. Your

    exposure here could'nt be better. Very well done.

    Chad, Nice and sharp and the colors come out well. The perch is too much perch for me. I would crop from the bottom to above the dark knuckles. Looks like he is really clamping on!

    Chad, Nice looking pose. I like seeing the tail and the feet. The perch is a little large as Clemens noted but I like the image a lot. Nice and sharp.

    The Blue Jay looks great, as does the BG. Good sharpness throughout. I agree with cropping out a good portion of the perch (and toning it down too).

    These guys love peanuts (still in the shell)...you can wedged some in your perch(es) to attract them for even more opportunities...
