This little bird was at the edge of my orchard in Pennsylvania one morning, when I was going out to check on my bluebird box.
I used a Canon EOS 10D, 100-400 IS Canon Lens, 1/350 at 5.6.
I love the back look on this one. Looks like the tail is sharper than the eye/face. I also think the BG is very busy but at the same time is a nice habitat
I like the pose and the composition here, Janet, but the dappled light is very difficult to work with. The bird has a mix of shadows and bright spots all over its body which detract from an otherwise nice image. If you could make a similar image under light overcast conditions, I think you will find the result to be much improved. :)
