    From last nights trip to the Tern/Skimmer Colony. Saw one of these take a full grown Juvi Common Tern and swallow it down whole.:eek::eek::eek: No good shots as it was facing the wrong direction.

    800 ISO F5.6 at 1/3200th

    Nice one, Joe!
    Excellent exposure, detail, and love the BG/habitat!

    I'm not sure but I would consider placing the bird higher in the frame, i.e. less at top and more at bottom if you have it.
    Would definitely consider taking at least a tiny bit off the top to eliminate the two light areas above the bird for a cleaner edge.

    Joe, I agree with Mike on the composition, bird should be in the upper right part of the frame.

    Joe, the crashing wave makes this so different. It has just the right amount of blur. excellent BG separation on the subject. Agree with Mike's comp. suggestion.

    The gulls black back against the ocean background is striking. They are one big gull.
