    I hope you don't mind my posting such a common bird.
    The time was maybe 15 minutes before sunset.
    I removed some yellow and red from the plumage but not all, on purpose.

    Lovely light Karl. Beautiful golds and greens in the BG. I might do a bit of counterclockwise rotation even though I know it was probably a hill behind the gull.

    Nice flight image in kind of unusual color setting for a gull. Would try to tone down the reddish bush in the upper left corner.

    Karl, gulls are among my favorite subjects to photograph so I don't mind at all!! Good job on the exposure, and nice sharpness. I agree with CCW rotation, and I'd crop some below and add some sky above (if you have it). Good call in keeping some of the warm light colours on the plumage.
