First, a little history: I started working with computers and computer graphics in 1984 on DEC mainframes. In the eary 90's, I transitioned to Mac's and was Mac only until about 1995 when I needed to learn Wondows and the PC because of my job as a service bureau production manager. Due to a employer change, I pretty much became an all Windows guy in 2002 and have been that way since. But I've been out of that industry for a while now, and I think I'm ready to go back to Mac permanently.
I'm considering the purchase of a 27" iMac, and more than likely, the 3.1 GHz machine with 8GB of RAM and a 1 TB internal drive. I have a couple of questions for the Mac folks:
Is the standard Radeon card adequate for digital photography or do I need to bump it up?
Can the monitor be color-calibrated or does it need to be?
Any help would be most appreciated!
