Default A Quiet Street in Philadelphia

Here is another image from my day shooting in Philadelphia. There were so many different images to capture there. This is a quick grab shot. I hand held it with my Canon 24-105mm lens and my 5D. I used Nik Color Efex and Photomatix Pro to complete the look. I know that the lamp doesn't look totally natural but this is the look that appealed to me. I'm looking forward to going back and capturing some more of these neighborhood images.

Nicely framed street scene. I found the image to be a bit flat so I took it into PS and gave it a levels adj which gave the image more pop

Thanks Dave for taking the time to comment. I am very happy with the amount of "pop" to the image.

Michael, Thanks for the kind words.

    Isn't that the idea?
The lamp makes the image for me.

Denise, I have been a fan of B & W images with one object in color. I think you did a good job.
    Well done.

Beautiful Denise. Lovely lines and perspective. The trees, sidewalk and steps make this for me..............I get a real feeling of a quaint neighborhood. The lamp light is cool, as it otherwise might have disappeared in thee rest of the image............

I like this style that you use. It reminds of one you did of the front porch of a house, with only the flowers having a bit of color. It gives the image a hand-tinted look that is really nice. I love how my eye is pulled up the sidewalk to discover the people. Nice!
