Last month I made a short trip to Sierra Nevada to photograph mountain birds.
The place is great in late spring/early summer since the snow and altitude delay the nesting activity which may stretch down to July. At many places we found birds feeding chicks while otherswere just starting to build nests.
Here is a Green-tailed Towhee from the first day.

Hello Luis. Very nice detail on this bird. Looks like you nailed the exposure. I like the pose very much. The bird is centered in the frame-perhaps more space to the left for the bird to look into? HA police might wish for a bit more head turn, but this is a very pleasing image with a lovely background. BTW, I was also in the Sierra last month in the Mono Basin.
This is a lovely image Luis. Lots of detail in it to appreciate. The soft green background sets off the bird nicely. The raised crest is a nice bonus. The perch seems to compete with the bird a bit; I might try to darken the wood a bit to see if that improves things.
