Default Another Small View at Fonthill

I like making smaller compositions out of grander scenes which gives my eye a workout. As soon as I saw the typewriter and skull I had to put them together. There was heavy sidelight coming from the left so I shot an HDR to balance out the exposure and give me the look I wanted.
I've seen this shot as a wide view and it's quite striking. A 5 image HDR...

Very nicely seen Dave. You guys are making me like HDR more and more. I like the composition, the skull in the corner somehow grounds the scene, it certainly adds interest.

Dave, The skull as Carole has pointed out does add some extra interest. You framed this nicely. I can't help but wish for a chair but I realize you were going in for a more intimate shot.

Another beautiful composition, Dave. I like the elements - the old Remington, framed images and also the skull. Nice framing.

    Hey Dave,
Good eye on this detail image as well. Like how you composed this one, keeping the important elements in. I like the placement in the frame of the typewriter, vase & skull. Nice job on the HDR pp too.

    Dave,
Sweet stuff. Very interesting image. Content and color all add to it's strength.
I can't help but feel cropping out the top shelf would make this even stronger.
