    Default Striated Pardalote

A small bird about 10 cm long, these nest in hollows tunnelled into soft earth.

Removed the perch that continued divided behind the bird.

Very nice detail and interesting character. Great background. I wonder if you could get away with a bit more sharpening around the eye area in particular? Also, IMO, you could have kept the perch above the bird, as I now find it a bit truncated. Even better would have been a perch that didn't go behind, but that kind of thing is always wishful thinking!

Very cool bird and great image. I like the colors and detail. It seems the sun was a bit high when you took the picture, but it's clear that sometimes it is what it is and the only chance you get for a photo is when the sun is high.
I noticed some burned highlights below the wing, I wonder if they could be removed in PP. I also wonder how it would have looked with the perch going above the bird.
