Keeping with the month's theme I decided to post a dedication kind of tribute post.
May not be the best image technically and it is a rather large crop for my taste but it has a story behind it.I do like how they are all staring atone another making you wonder whatis going on. This little chick was born last winter and was the first born for this pair of eagles. They reside here in Tierra Verde Fl. I would go watch and shoot as often as I could and this baby was also very popular to the town being the first baby. They covered it's first flight on the news and it was very exciting. I happened to be there at Ft Desoto shooting that day when a horrible horrible incident occured and we still don't know what happened. I was driving by the scene onlyten minutes before this fledling fell from a pole it was landing on on it's way back to the nest. It landed kind of wobbely and fell to the ground dying instantly. I still get such a bad feeling inside when I think about that day and seeing this glorious creation there on the ground ...gone. A very hard lesson for me to learn again about nature and how life can take dramatic turns we need to accept.. I will always remember this chick and all the joy it DID bring me when it was alive.

This image tells such a great story. This may be a big crop, but it looks pretty good to me. I love the environmental feel and the way the birds are gazing at each other. The light is also very nice in this image.

Thank you for sharing your fine image and the story.

Cheryl, I agree the image tells a story and I love that you were able to capture this with all three. So sad and sometimes things like this stay with us for awhile. TFS.

What a sad story. I like the way the birds are looking at one another.Still pretty sharp for a big crop,

Very nicely captured scene. It is a hard and dangerous world for new born bay animals.
