it has been treat for some time to see so many wonderful in flight shots from everyone...
Alan, this is very nice shot...Love the soft blue BG...
Alan, very nice. stunning underwing details. How did you get such nice light under the bird? Exposing properly does bring out those details and that brightness.....but that usually means the sky goes towards high key...which isn't the case here. Hence wondering.

Super, Alan.
The excellent wing spread, diagonal position, sharpness, eye contact and blue sky make this image special. Very well done.
Ditto Kaustubh. The soft light, nice underwing detail, and eye contact make this image.
Pretty much perfect, the eye is great and the crop is just right.

Pose, EXP, COMP, and SH all spectacular. Was this bird attracted to your position in any way? When?

I like the perfect pose and sharpness.
The bird was not attracted in any way. A group of them were fighting a strong wind and were trying to put down in some small low trees along the beach. I sneaked up and caught a few images as they flew slowly over the trees looking for a place to land. This was last April.
I really like where you placed the bird in the frame. Detail and exp right on as usual and great eye contact.

awesome Alan
