I'm looking forward to my return workshop to Eastern State penitentiary (you can find the workshop info under my signature) and I came across this....."the other" barber shop chair. The decay and colors are just fantastic! It's nice to do the workshop in the private areas as it allows you to avoid the crowds! 5 images meged in photomatix and then PP'ed in PS5. Saved at 56 quality to fit

Hey Roman, this is superb! The colors and the details are perfect and the light coming through the window and chair's shadow are nice also!

    Hey Roman,
I am not a big fan of applying the grunge look to every HDR image, but with the subject at hand I think it begs for it. The colors & the HDR exposures are great. Also your HDR pp is very nicely done! Your use of the grunge look here brings out the textures characteristic of ESP.

Hi Roman, the detail and somewhat exaggerated color really works well together. When the sun is high the light has a tendency to blow out the small window but your use of HDR captured all the detail nicely. Well handled!!

    Nice image and application, Roman.

How much time did you spend in the "pen"!

Roman, can't add much to what already has been said. Nice work! Love the chair and its shadow. Great technique with this one.................

Very nice one Roman. I like the way the light comes in the room and shadows the chair. Very simple composition but has a lot of impact.

I agree with the comments on the excellent processing. I'm eventually going to have to visit Eastern State. Nice that you get the access to private areas.

Really like this, so many textures and colors, I guess that's why YOU are the Maestro. I really have to get there with you if this is the kind of stuff you come away with. Good choice in the processing, since I think that is what makes or breaks these images in the end. This one really works.

    Roman,

Have you tried to light any of these areas with flash? Spot lighting the chair would put this image into
    another dimension.

    Hey Chas,
Actually I did try flash! It didn't work well with the HDR......or at least I haven't figured it out yet! I'm going to give it another go at it when I go in November and see what I can come up with! Might have to bring the big flashlight or use just one frame for your thought to work......but thanks for the idea to try again!
