I found this 1 inch long katydid having breakfast on a little Turks cap wildflower at Brazos Bend SP and made a few photos while it was having a meal.

Hey Jim,
I'm in the school of if you're gonna clip it....do it bold! Since it is nearly impossible to get the antenna in focus and you lose some of the importance of the katydid if you include them.....I'd suggest a crop off the top and left (middle of the 2nd black band top and proportional left).....further emphasizing the katydid and eliminating and OOF distractions. Just a thought as the light and pose are VG!
I think Roman is on to something here. The outer reaches of the image that are out of focus IMO arguably don't make a positive contribution to the overall impression. But the detail, sharpness and color of the body of your katydid are all very interesting. Crop in more on that and it should be neat.
Hi Jim. Nice action shot of this guy feeding and I like the pose and all the detail in the head and thorax. The repost takes this up a notch. Very well done.
