    Default Festival of Color

Post Processing Blur. I reworked an older image and applied a Pseudo HDR treatment to it using Photomatix. Then I added a zoom blur in Photoshop and with a layer mask revealed some of the original image. My blog post today shows the original Pseudo HDR before I added the blur if anybody wants to see.

    Denise,

Greetings. I really like the range of color. For my taste a bit less fine detail overall would be preferred. If you have, Topaz Detail 2, just nick off some of the small detail (negative slider position)... (to see my preference)...

The original in you blog is cool, too. TFS...

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

    Hey Denise,
I actually like the textures and colors.....although I may smooth out the edges of the corn. VG placement of it too and the filters worked nicely.

I like this one probably even more than the original which is very nice also. The colors are fabulous! The slight graying of the corn kernels in the middle bothers me a little. Was that caused by Photomatix?

Hi Judy, I added that to the image. It is not necessary though and the filter did not produce it. Hope that helps.

I really like the original. The newer version leaves me a bit lightheaded.

    Nice image and application, Denise.

If it were mine, I would try to boost the blk a little with Select Colors in PS. I think it will pop it.

Interesting and different. I like that! The colors around the outside are really unexpected and remind me of colored tissue paper, like you get in a gift basket. Nicely done!

Denise, I love the festival of color in this image; I took a good look at post in your blog as well, and I prefer the blur...the original was too busy for me, and I found my eye wandering too much through the image. I have to admit, I've got a way to go...your post processing / work flow is something I just wouldn't have thought of, but I really like the final image. It's like learning to see all over again.

Stunning image Denise, I really enjoy the grungy colours set against the corn and adding the zoom blur throws the image over the top for me!
