Yesterday I found this small weevil on a spotted knapweed flower (pretty flower - noxious, invasive weed). 5D II, MP-E 65 mm at 2X, 1/125, f/16, ISO 250, MT24-EX macro twin flash (diffused), HH. All comments are welcome and appreciated.

    Hey Steve,
You've gotten great details in the weevil and it does look like a walrus! Might go a bit off the top and totally square.....but all in all a great job and nice find!

Good sharpness and details on the head, nicely composed. I like how the flower fills the frame and gives depth to the image. Not a big issue, but would have been nice if that tip of stamen on right side was not overlapping (?) the bug. Nicely done!

This is a wonderful image! The soft pink color of the flower and the detail on the critter are a great combination!

Steve...I was stunned at how sharp and yet unsharp it is exactly where needed. This image is really wonderful the way you handled it! i do agree that it would be nice to remove the offending stamen ( ?) already mentioned.

Looks like a walrus and an anteater made a baby! Love the angle of the bug comming out and the softness of the petals.I really like the right foot.

Quite an amazing looking little bug. I really like the nice sharpness and details revealed and neat to find it on such a pretty flower as well.

Awesome Steve, nice detail on the weevil, and the habitat looks great and provides nice contrast. Well done!
