My first attempt at processing with CS5... Tried some selective luminosity sharpening with the unsharp mask... All crits, comments and advice welcome!

It has a "cape" feel to it. Almost like Batman. I like the colors, clean and sharp. Nice catch light in the eye. I do not know how to tell you to improve it. Like it as is.

Rudi love the sharp bird and wing position but it's way to tight for me, would have prefered more room on the top and bottom.

This looks good Rudi - best IQ I've seen from you for a long time. Compo is a tad tight...
Well exposed as these guys can be tricky to expose properly!

Yes, agree on the more room on top and bottom.
    Sharpness is just right.

Excellent shot superb processing, I can appreciate why you did a pano crop but I have to agree with previous comments regarding composition.

Beautiful, exposure, focus, and just the pose.
I would maybe like a bit looser crop also, but that is nitpicking.
    Excellent.

Thanks for the positive feedback everyone, it is much appreciated! Still feel very dumb with CS5, but are looking forward to the learning curve...

Understand the rationale behind the suggestions on the comp, but decided on this unorthodox composition to emphasize the streamlined pose and closer-up detail of the bird...

PP work is definitely getting better. So well done mate. I would loosen the crop and maybe blacken the blacks as they look a bit washed out (small nit) in selective color.

Hey Rudi, Ive never seen a gliding WFD, they just fly by at such a speed. Excellent flying posture, and well exposed on the face. AR rocks for white faces.

Beautiful shot. If mine I would give more room at top and bottom.
