Taken at Whitepoint yesterday. I finally found the bird I have trying to get for so long :D
Taken at f/5.6 and 1/3200 iso:400. I went way out into the rocks for this one and am quite pleased with the results. It seems that I keep getting muddy or soaked or dirty to get my shots these days lol. My leg took the plunge into a rocky crevice and was throughly soaked the rest of the day. after that I didn't even both trying not to get wet :).

Good to hear you got your Oysteratcher Brian. Nice and sharp and the BG isnt too bad.

The exposure is okay considering the harsh light, which is less than ideal.

I know where you got this guy, this spot was local for me for a long time.

Darkened your image a little, might be too dark for some people. Just a curves adjustment and a quick mask.

Thanks Robert. The corrected image looks a bit better to me too. Definitly let me know where your going to shoot when you come down. Thanks a lot.

I like your composition of this Black oystercatcher Brian. Compared to our Sooty oystercatcher your subject looked too light but Robert's repost has improved density, certainly not too dark. A nice capture!!!

Love the pose and light. I have to agree with Robert's re-pose. The image looks very sharp! Congrats!
