    Default Indian Eagle-Owl

Made this image in Great Rann of Kutch, Gujarat, India.
Though the bird is very small in the frame, thought it will pass on a message that the barren land, in we the human perception, also houses beautiful and ecologically significant species. Hope people understand this and stop habitat destruction in the name of development.

Wow what a nice shot...Love the environment here ...I see some green flare in left bottom of the image on the mound....Composition wise I would crop this from bottom till that flare if it were mine...

I quite like the environmental feeling as well. I would have liked if the sky was a bit more blue. Great detail!

    A beautiful bird and image!

This works for me big time. Great eye contact, and nestled in the arch of the habitat. I like the high key BG too. Well spotted.

Excellent shot. the vegetation in ULC adds a lot IMO. terrific IQ. liked the high key treatment as well.

If mine, I'd crop from the bottom as the FG blur in LRC is a tad distracting. IMO, doing so will still retain the impact of environment and put even more focus on the bird.

    Well done.

I like the composition very much and particularly the high key sky. Combined with the thorns and barren rock it accents the sense of an arid land. I'd like to have seen some of the distant desert landscape at the bottom of the frame. Agree about the flare problem. Some PP might clean that up.

I agree with Wynand, a blue sky would have put this already very nice image over the top.

    Great habit shot.

Nicely done, as presented. I like the open space.
A vertical crop removing a lot of the white sky would also work. I would leave some of the brush in.

I agree! Well seen. We need some fresh eyes and different perspectives to keep interest. If you crop out the green flare in the bottom right, also take off some on the left side from top to bottom to balance it out.

I like it just as it is, I would choose not to remove the green cast in the bottom right corner, we all have different viewpoints.

Excellent habitat shot, Girish. I love his "perch" and the leafless branches. The bareness of the habitat combined with a high-key treatment give this image a nice minimalstic feel imo.
Would go with a horizontal, getting rid of the oof green as Sachin said.
