I think I'm stretching the theme, that dark expanse beyond the penguin is the South Atlantic Ocean off Cape Town. I used "dark ghostly" from Topaz.

Very mysterious , and I guess thats what you wanted. So it works. Love the composition.

Nancy, Nice dramatic look to this. It looks like it might need a slight rotation. I like the way you composed this but if it were mine I might take a slice off the bottom and the right. Very impressive creativity and OOTB thinking on this one!

Nancy......I like this alot. However i do agree with cropping suggestions. Also, i am wondering if you could bring back just a tad of detail to the face through masking.

I love the feeling of this. That deep sky color against the otherwise almost b&w in particular. Another vote in favor of Denise's cropping suggestions.

Hi Nancy, I too like the dramatic look to this one. Agree with taking a little off the right.

Nancy, very dramatic and OOTB creatively. I also agree with the crop suggestions.

Very creative composition, Nancy. I like your OOTB thinking here. I like the mood and the filter effect enhance it well. Nicely done.

Thank you all! I fiddled with the crop and can certainly see cropping a bit more off the right and bottom.
