Had the good fortune to have a great shoot at Fonthill Castle today with Roamin with Roman,Susan Candelario,Nick Palmieri and some other folks. I've been through castles and chateaus in Europe and none is as eclectic as this. Due to the subject matter and lighting it's a great place to shoot HDR's and the folks there couldn't be more accomodating.
This is a 5 image HDR.

Dave, I like the perspective and composition and all the different colors. I wish the URC wasn't so dark - the bottom is so light and airy and the top is dark and sooty looking (like it should be above an old fireplace).

    Thanks Nick...
Cheryl, I thought about cropping the image down but after working on it for awhile the somberness the top delivered appealed to me so I left it in....(I also liked the helmet and the plate)

    Hey Dave,
It was a fun day indeed. I like your comp and the colors on this one. I specially like that you included the windows in the hallway with good details.

    Hey Dave,
Agree with Cheryl about this on the top ......might go back and try a different take on this get the helmet and plate with a cleaner look and a crop is also an option. I'm impressed that you guys were even able to work on them......I was beat after the 110+ degree heat inside and came home and took a nap! You guys and gals were a great group and I'm already looking forward to the fall workshop there!

Hi Dave, I like the perspective, somewhat subtle tones and excellent processing overall. I agree the URC is dark, but guess the larger image has more detail in the "somber" darker areas.
